Alexia

Alexia

Update 23.4.2025:

AlexALEXIA says: Spring is a field full of flowers and second chances🌸🌼🌺 And if you haven’t met our Alexia yet, you’ve truly missed out on something special.

In more ways than one, Alexia is big. Yes, she’s a large dog — around 35 kg — but her heart? Even bigger!

Alexia was found abandoned with her sister Marina (who’s also still waiting for her happy ending💔). Despite everything, Alexia has remained gentle, loving, and endlessly affectionate. She walks beautifully on a leash, adores people, and gets along great with other dogs.

Alexia’s about 2 years old now, with the calm soul of an old friend and a playful spark that comes alive when she’s romping around the dog run with her buddies🐶

This lovely girl is a nap-in-the-sun kind of dog, a cuddle enthusiast, and a foodie — which makes her easy to train.

We’re looking for a home that matches her size and spirit — ideally with a garden and someone who appreciates the beauty of a big-hearted companion.

It’s hard to believe that no one has ever shown interest in Alexia. Some might be intimidated by her size, but we promise you: her heart is just as grand as her body❤️

Maybe this year, Alexia’s second chance will finally bloom? 🌸

Update 19.12.2024:

His best friend and roommate is our favorite ALEXIA. She’s also big in size, but that doesn’t mean she acts like it.😜 Alexia absolutely loves soaking up all the pets and attention she can get! Affectionate, loving, and truly beautiful—both inside and out.

She will always be our baby, no matter her size.🥰

Somehow she’s grown up a little here at the shelter, and we really hope she won’t have to stay much longer. She’s ready. Take a chance on this gorgeous girl!

Update 8.7.2024:
Alexia is a big dog but well socialized. Isn’t she gorgous? If you like big, choose Alexia.

Update 18.7.2023:
Alexia is a real cool girl and will be an eye catcher. Adopt her!

Her story:
Little do they know they are in danger.

I cannot sit by and know that something will happen to them. This very photo caught my heart.
I want to take them in. Will someone sponsor them?

They are big girls. Their neutering costs us up to 200 euro depending on how big they will get by their first menstrual cycle. That’s without vaccinations, microchip, parasite meds, food, staff to feed the food, water, rent….you get the picture.

Please, support this rescue so I can give the “go” and have these girls brought over.
I haven’t yet and I am sitting on hot coals.
I would hate to get the news that they have been killed.
Just look at those faces.
World meet Alexia (white chest) and Marina♥️
