We’re in search of a dedicated full-time team member (m/f/d) to join our efforts at the Souda Shelter in Crete. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the care and rehabilitation of approximately 80 dogs – including former strays, abandoned, and abused animals that we’re working tirelessly to place in loving forever homes.
This is a demanding yet incredibly rewarding 40-hour per week position that requires both a driver’s license and strong English language skills to effectively coordinate the daily operations of the shelter. From hands-on animal care to managing veterinary visits and assisting visitors, you’ll be an integral part of our small but mighty team.
We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in – whether that’s cleaning kennels or documenting their progress for our online outreach. Above all, a genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable rescue pets is an absolute must.

We operate on a different clock, one that requires the flexibility to respond to emergencies at all hours and the resilience to power through physically and emotionally demanding conditions – especially during the challenging Greek summer heat.
