Sencha (adopted)

Sencha (adopted)

Sencha, a beautiful girl, has a tragic start in life and needs a special person who is willing to go the extra mile.

Sencha’s adoption fell thru.
The housecheck was a no go. It was done twice.
Sad on the one hand, she is still with us, happy on the other hand, it’s okay, we love to have her safe and sound till the right time.
Sencha is one of our Merle pups.
She has a disability.
She is visually impaired, she sees shadows.
She does not hear, she is deaf.
But she is amazingly cunning even with her disabilities. She runs, jumps, plays…you would never notice that she cannot see.
See here in the video below how she knows where the pallet ends and how fun it is playing with Amelie♥️

She was born December 2023, and is sister of Cassia, Milima, Sencha and Butterfly Pea.

According to the vet she can only see light but not movements.

Much likely she’s also deaf.

THE SAME CULPRIT, WHO EVERY YEAR FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS ABANDONS PUPPIES AT THE CEMETERY IN SOUDA, DID IT AGAIN!!!!
FOURTH YEAR IN A ROW!
Puppies with a Merle coat.
The merle coat color lies in basic genetics, where there is a dominant and recessive trait to produce those gorgeous splotches. Dogs that have two copies of the merle gene variant, inherited from both of their parents, have an increased risk of problems with their eyes and ears, causing blindness and/or deafness.
Last year, (some of you might remember), we got a litter of pups, some blind, some deaf, one blind and deaf.
The two years before that, same Merle type. Fortunately those were healthy.
This ignoramus of a human has cost us thousands of euro.
This ignoramus of a human has left us over 30 pups to raise, to vaccinate, to feed special food, to neuter, to find homes for. THOUSANDS of euro.
And they have done it again.
We MUST find this person.
They must be charged in a court of law.
Until then we just picked up a new batch.
There are five of them, we don’t know if they are healthy or not, blind or deaf, they will visit a veterinarian in the next days.
And the tally goes up at the shelter, along with the costs.
What to say?
World welcome the newest Merle crew.
Four girls, one boy…..God help us.
