Gizmo is a good boy, just forgotten. Look at him! Look at his smile!

If there’s one dog who’s been quietly overlooked ever since he arrived, it’s Gizmo. Born in November 2023, Gizmo came to the shelter as a tiny, gentle pup – abandoned, found on the streets, and brought to safety.

Now, almost 1,5 years later, he’s grown into one of the kindest and sweetest young dogs you could ever meet. And yet… he remains almost invisible. Gizmo is the kind of dog who never pushes himself into the spotlight. He’s always nearby, often by the side of his best friend Melvin, content to be the quiet companion.

He never causes trouble – quite the opposite. He turns away from conflict, melts into the background and waits. But behind that gentle nature is a heart full of love, quietly hoping that someone will finally see him.

Gizmo weighs around 16kg and is a medium-sized boy. He is affectionate, loyal and endlessly sweet – a soft soul just longing to be noticed, chosen and truly seen. Can we make that happen for him?

Gizmo is an 8 month old dog staying at the animal shelter. He is playful and affectionate, and would make a wonderful addition to any family.

His story? Unfortunately all too common – he’s just one more abandoned pup who was picked up from the streets and brought to us a few weeks back.

Did he have siblings?

Those answers elude us, but what we do know is that he’s now safe within our shelter walls, eagerly awaiting a forever home
