Very sad news for us here at The Souda Shelter Project, our senior Sargeant is being evicted from his home of ONE YEAR because of the birth of twin baby humans.
Before that he was at the shelter for most of his life.
We are devastated by this decision of the family.
We would hate to bring him back to the shelter, that would be heartbreaking for him so we will advertise and share him as much as possible with the hopes that someone will fall in love with him and take him home.
Please consider him.
Please share him.
As the family evicting him said, “he sheds too much and he is a fussy eater”.
Please, below comments only about the dog, not the humans.
Sergeant will be 13 years of age and is fit as a fiddle!
SERGEANT HAS BEEN ADOPTED!
Our senior Sergeant has been adopted and has a lovely family, has a female companion, has a mom and dad who adore him, has a couch, has long walks, has happiness, has peace, has a happy longer life to look forward too!
Sergeant had been at the shelter for YEARS.
His time has come!
Big thanks to
and her partner for adopting a senior and for taking such good care of him. Wow! Special folks!
Good luck Sergeant! Much respect and love to you, sir!
You will be missed!
Sergeant is still waiting for his furever home. Time is running out…
His story: Gender: Male

Breed: German Shepherd
Description: Sergeant. Amazing character. Wise. Calm. Obedient. Older gentleman. Could you tell that from the photo above? Sergeant came to us in a very bad state. He was emaciated and completely neglected. He is a grand animal. Consider this diamond for your home. You will not regret it. He is a no fuss animal. Once you get him home it will be as if he was always there. This I can promise you. He is an excellent dog, a serious, strong and beautiful character. Totally male energy, and a kind dog. He deserves a home! He deserves a family!
Sergeant is a xoxDOG which means he is up for lifelong foster and there is no adoptionfee. Read more here.
