Dr. Dillamond

Dr. Dillamond

Update 12.03.2025:

DR. DILLAMOND✨ is one of four pups who were abandoned in a cardboard box outside the shelter this summer. Dillamond is a happy, young dog who gets along wonderfully with both people and other dogs.

Full of energy, he loves running and playing but is just as content to relax in the sun for a well-deserved nap afterward. 🌞😪 Dillamond is a well-balanced and easygoing guy looking for a loving family to give him the perfect mix of outdoor adventures and cozy cuddle sessions on the sofa. ❤️

Unfortunately, like his brothers, Dillamond has tested positive for Leishmaniasis. There are many misconceptions about this diagnosis, with some people fearing that dogs with Leishmaniasis are dangerous or will have a poor quality of life. In reality, with early detection and the right care, dogs like Dillamond can live completely normal, happy lives and grow old just like any other dog. Please consider opening your home to this beautiful boy, and don’t let this diagnosis take away Dillamond´s chance for a happy life.

Dillamond is currently about 10 months old and weighs around 19 kg. His Leishmaniasis is currently asymptomatic.

Update 8.11.2024:

His story:
