Boq

Update 6.12.2025:

Boq has had a long and winding journey, and he’s seen more ups and downs than any dog should have to. A few months ago, he had an accident and tore his Achilles tendon. He went through surgery, countless vet visits, and lots of crate rest.
Yet through it all, Boq stayed incredibly sweet and patient with everyone around him.

The good news? He has made a full recovery and is now happy, playful, and full of life again.

Now just one thing is missing: a loving home to call his own.

Update 5.4.2025:

You are about to meet someone very special! Can you give beautiful BOQ his moment to shine?

We are really worried about this angel of a boy. He weighs 21,5 kg.

Like his brothers, Fiyero and Dillamond, Boq has tested positive for Leishmaniasis.

Even though he’s a happy young pup, this diagnosis makes many people turn away immediately. On top of that, his dark coat causes people to overlook him. Some say he’s just not conventionally beautiful.

Please don’t look away!

Boq wants you to know a few things:

He loves people and is determined to make you fall in love with him

He’s sweet, gentle, social and overall an extraordinary boy

He’s really hoping he’ll be given a chance

Sadly, nobody has ever shown interest in him. Ever since that hot summer day when he was abandoned in a box, Boq has been waiting for someone to choose him and love him unconditionally!

His story:

Boq, a cute boy, was abandoned in a small box in the blazing heat right in front of the shelter. He is the brother of Elphaba, Dr. Dillamond and Fiyero. They were born in May 2024.
