Aristo (adopted)

Aristo (adopted)

Update 7.11.2024:

Aristo has grown a little. He is supercute. All puppies are facing the Crete winter which is wet and cold.

His story:

Oh my goodness!

The nine babies left to us by the local young gentlemen are doing great, they have been baptized by our regular volunteer workers, Olivia and Mascha and soon they will be ready to come into your life!

Shorty legs, teeny tiny bodies, these little guys are bite sized treats.

Get one today!

PS: don’t mind the Panacur paste mustaches, they had just been wormed…☺️

World welcome the A TEAM! (All their names start with A)

Their story:

Nine puppies abandoned on the road to Alikianos. (30.9.2024)

Local young men found them. They say they went to the Platanias municipality and to the Chania municipality and were escorted out without a solution but to contact us… since when were we put on the payroll?

Nine puppies with zero destiny if left on the side of the road.

On the other, a very full shelter with dwindling funding, exhausted participants and a shelter owner who is literally at her wits end.

You do the math.

It is time these municipalities take responsibility for the animals, as the law states.

It is time the funding that is granted from the government go to the participants actually working with the strays.

For sure, it is not coming to us.

Nine new puppies that need to be fed, watered, medically, taken care of, loved and eventually rehomed.

Welcome to the Souda Shelter Project… for as long as that lasts.

If you haven’t helped us before, please consider doing so now. It is quite sad to see the same people digging deep into their pockets to help every time.

Please participate in helping these animals.

Comments are nice but they do not pay the bills.

In 2023 our vet bill for the year was over €50,000.
